Mfold is a tool for motif prediction. 

Step: 1 

Type mfold SEQ=’proteinsequencefile.txt’ and press enter.

Step:2 

The result shows the predicted motif region for the given protein sequence. It will create filename with an extension .pnt. Eg:filename.pnt

The result can be viewed by typing cat filename.pnt and press enter. It shows the motif region for the given protein sequence.
